My Care My Choice is founded and run by Kelly Gray and Emer Long. Kelly and Emer both live in Perth and have worked in the community services sector for over 20 years collectively.

 Kelly Gray

Kelly’s experience in community services spans over twelve years, with her career starting in vocational education and training for not-for-profit organisations. Kelly coordinated and managed many Government funded training programs for youth at risk, culturally and linguistically diverse, long-term unemployed and people with disabilities.

Kelly completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Counselling) in 2014 and has worked in a diverse range of human services including domestic violence rehabilitation, community mental health programs, youth services, aged care and homelessness.

Kelly is an experienced and capable trainer/facilitator, teaching accredited and non-accredited adult education in human resources management, business management, marketing, community services and community engagement. Kelly holds a Diploma of Business Management, Diploma of Business Marketing, Diploma of Human Resources Management and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Kelly now works as a Consultant in the community services sector in Perth with aged care, disability and mental health  providers.

 Emer Long

Emer graduated from St. Patrick’s College in Ireland with a B.A. (hons) in Business, Religion and Education in 2009. Since immigrating to Australia in 2010, Emer’s diverse involvement in direct care, training and management have provided her with a broader understanding of the community services sector and current reforms in Australia.

Emer is an experienced business leader who understands the current challenges and opportunities for the not for profit sector. She is excited about the challenges, opportunities and impact that a move to consumer directed care and individualised support will bring.

Her expertise includes co-designing community services; training and education; business development and marketing, stakeholder engagement, communications, Consumer Directed Care, co-production, film, staff engagement and workforce challenges.
